Architectural photography aims to be more than just a visual tool. At its core, it tries to interpret and communicate the various aspects of architectural design. An architectural photographer doesn't just take pictures, he creates images. He recognizes the virtues of the space and uses his tools and knowledge to highlight them.
Weather conditions, people placement, camera placement, equipment selection, and processing are just a few of the parameters a photographer needs to be aware of in terms of their impact on the photograph, and how based on these will approach architecture and its immortalization.
In this work, both through studying the work of leading architects and photographers, and through exploring and experimenting with various photography methods, I discover how they affect and define architecture photographs, and how I can through their application to convey the feeling and meaning of each space or building.
